We hope to live a life
according to the providence of nature.

we hope to move when the sun rises and rest when the sun sets.
we hope to eat fruits and vegetables in season and eat as little processed foods as possible.

We design and make furniture with korean sense of beauty.

Ko beomsuk
그는 본래 패션디자인을 전공하고 의류 무역업에 종사하였으나,
패션 업계의 지나치게 빠른 주기, 노동력/환경오염 문제 등에
문제 의식을 느껴 새로운 분야로 직업을 바꾸게 되었습니다.
그는 현재의 아내를 만난 후, 목공을 시작하여 2017년에
자신의 이름을 딴 ‘고범석 가구’를 시작하게 되었습니다.
그는 오래 사용할 수 있는 목가구에 대한 이해를 바탕으로
디자인과 제작을 직접 합니다.
목가구 만이 갖는 구조적 디테일을 자신만의 디자인 언어로 승화하며
한국 고유의 미의식을 담은 가구를 디자인하고 만듭니다.
Ko beomusk majored in fashion design and engaged in the apparel trade. However, he became disillusioned with the rapid cycle, labor exploitation, and environmental pollution of the fashion industry, and began a second career in fine furniture.
In 2017 he launched Kobeomsuk Furniture.
His goal is to design and produce furniture based on an understanding of the long-term use of wood and its unique properties for structural details. He believes that design and construction should complement one another, toward well-made, lasting, organic furniture.

Kim Hyeyoon
그는 공간디자인을 전공하고, 도시 환경 디자인, 소비자&디자인 트렌드 리서처를 거쳐 현재 고범석 가구를 함께 디자인/운영하고 있습니다.
시즌별, 년도별로 변화하는 트렌드를 관찰하다보니,
트렌드를 따르지 않고 브랜드 고유의 가치를 만들고 영유하는 것이
가장 가치있는 것이라고 생각하게 되었습니다.
그는 삶이 디지털화되고 생산성이 고효율화 될수록,
사람들의 마음을 끄는 것은 그것을 벗어난 것,
즉 오랫동안 정성들여 손으로 만든 것이라고 생각하게 됩니다.
그는 실용적이고 견고하며 아름답게 단순화된 디자인을 추구합니다.
Kim Hyeyoon majored in space design and subsequently studied and worked on integrated environmental design, and consumer and design trend research. She now designs furniture and collections with Kobeomsuk.
After analyzing trends by season and year, she concluded that departing from trends is most valuable. To counter the hectic, digitized, mass-produced aspects of modern life, for their home people are attracted to well-considered, hand-crafted masterpieces.
She pursues practical, durable, and beautifully simple furniture that can be passed down from generation to generation.
